ABOUT First Place Women's Javelins:

• Beginning throwers start out with the lowest range javelins, as the lowest range rated javelins are more forgiving to new throwers who haven't developed great form, speed or skill yet. 
  
• As your form, speed and skill improve, move up to a higher range rated javelin, since they are stiffer and will work better with a skilled an experienced thrower. 
  
• High School Girls, College Women, Women to age 49, Men aged 60-69 throw the 600 gram javelin. 
  
• Note that most High Schools in states of NJ, ND, WA, and AL are required to throw a rubber tipped javelin. 
  
• Please note: Colors may vary.
